Professional practice

After thirty years of work with excellent firms and inspiring individuals, I am thrilled to have a solo practice in Yarmouth, Maine. I offer landscape architecture for homes and gardens, and also design outdoor spaces and site plans that complement communities and mission-oriented buildings. I seek to honor each unique combination of people, program and land, with design that is beautiful, timeless and harmonious. I enjoy working with homeowners and interdisciplinary teams from concept to completion, and bring my best to every relationship and process. I hope that the places we create together will express gratitude, joy, and connectedness.

Working together

We shape our self
to fit this world
and by the world
are shaped again.
The visible
and the invisible
working together
in common cause,
to produce the miraculous.
I am thinking of the way
the intangible air
passed at speed
round a shaped wing
easily
holds our weight.
So may we, in this life
trust
to those elements
we have yet to see
or imagine,
and look for the true
shape of our own self,
by forming it well
to the great intangibles about us.
